Recruitment & Operations Associate [Full-Time]

Brave Ones is growing, and we're looking for an ambitious, proactive and people-oriented colleague to join our operations team in Nijmegen!

In this full-time role, you'll play an important part in making sure everything runs smoothly for our international employees. From onboarding, contracts and work permits to employee support and daily operations, you'll take responsibility for the processes that keep our business running.

But we're looking for more than someone who simply gets things done. We want someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead and actively looks for ways to make things better.

As Brave Ones continues to expand, you'll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility, develop your leadership skills and potentially grow into a position where you manage our daily operations team.

Whether you're a recent graduate ready to kick-start your career or someone with relevant work experience looking for their next challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

About Brave Ones

Brave Ones is a fast-growing scale-up helping internationals find job opportunities in the Netherlands. But finding a job is only the beginning. We believe everything that comes with employment should be just as well organized.

From the moment someone gets hired until their last working day, we want our employees to feel supported and know exactly what to expect. That's why we take care of onboarding, help with practical questions and make sure everything related to their employment is properly arranged.

We're looking for someone who shares our mission: Enable opportunities for internationals in every European city.

Your role

As part of our Recruitment & Operations team, you'll be involved in the daily operations of Brave Ones and take ownership of making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll work closely with your colleagues in recruitment and operations, and regularly communicate with our Customer Success Manager and Operations Lead.

Once a candidate has been hired, you'll take over the process. You'll make sure all personal information and documents are complete, apply for work permits when needed, arrange employee registrations and ensure contracts and placements are processed correctly.

You'll also be in direct contact with our international employees, guiding them through their onboarding and making sure they're fully prepared for their first working day.

Your involvement doesn't stop there. Throughout their employment, you'll help employees with practical questions about their contracts, payslips or personal information. You'll also monitor important deadlines, such as contract extensions and work permit expiration dates.

Taking ownership is an important part of this role. We expect you to keep an overview, follow up on outstanding tasks and take initiative when something needs attention. You won't just be responsible for completing individual tasks, but also for making sure the processes you're involved in run smoothly from start to finish.

And because we're a growing scale-up, we're constantly looking for ways to work smarter and more efficiently. We expect you to proactively identify opportunities for improvement, challenge existing ways of working and contribute ideas that help make our operations more efficient and scalable.

Over time, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility. Our ambition is to find someone who wants to grow with us.

What will you do?

  • Take ownership of the onboarding process and guide new employees towards their first working day.

  • Collect, check and process employee information and documents.

  • Apply for work permits and monitor their progress.

  • Prepare and check contracts, registrations and employee placements.

  • Conduct onboarding calls with new employees.

  • Be a point of contact for employee questions by phone and email.

  • Help coordinate weekly work schedules for our clients.

  • Keep employee information and internal systems accurate and up to date.

  • Monitor contract extensions, work permit expiration dates and other important deadlines.

  • Process sick leave notifications and changes during employment.

  • Arrange offboarding when an employee leaves.

  • Make sure operational tasks are followed up properly and nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve our operational processes and make them smarter and more efficient.

  • Work closely with the team to continuously improve how we organize and manage our operations.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who combines a strong sense of responsibility with a social and proactive personality.

You have a proactive mindset. Rather than waiting for someone to tell you what to do, you recognize what needs to happen and take action. When something isn't working or could be improved, you think about how to make it better.

At the same time, working at Brave Ones is all about people. That's why we're looking for someone who is approachable, communicates easily and enjoys being part of a young, ambitious and international team.

You also recognize yourself in the following:

  • You're proactive, independent and comfortable taking ownership of your work.

  • You're social, approachable and enjoy working with people.

  • You're organized, accurate and have a strong eye for detail.

  • You communicate clearly and confidently, both by phone and email.

  • You can manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and keep track of deadlines and KPIs.

  • You recognize problems early and take initiative to solve them.

  • You enjoy finding ways to make processes better, smarter and more efficient.

  • You're comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.

  • You're ambitious and motivated to develop yourself professionally.

  • You have an interest in growing into a position with more responsibility.

Experience in recruitment, operations, administration or customer service is a plus, but definitely not required. What matters most is your attitude, motivation and willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • You're available to work full-time (40 hours per week).

  • You're willing to work from our office in Nijmegen (this is an on-site position).

  • Candidates from all over the Netherlands are welcome to apply. If you currently live outside the Nijmegen area, we expect you to be willing to relocate to the region in the future.

  • You're available to start as soon as possible.

  • You're looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with our team.

  • You're fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • Speaking Dutch is a plus, but not required. If you don't speak Dutch yet, we encourage you to learn the language. To help you get started, we organize Dutch classes every Wednesday!

What do we offer?

At Brave Ones, you'll have the freedom and responsibility to make a real impact from day one.

You'll join a young, ambitious and international team where your ideas matter and where you'll have the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.

We're not just looking for someone to fill a position. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the company, take on increasing responsibility and play an important role in our future.

Here's what else you can expect:

  • A gross monthly salary between €2.800 and €3.150, depending on your experience.

  • The opportunity to grow professionally, with the potential to develop into a leadership position within our operations team.

  • Real responsibility and the freedom to take ownership of your work.

  • The opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape how we organize our operations.

  • Plenty of opportunities to learn, develop new skills and grow alongside the company.

  • A young, social and international team.

  • A laptop and work phone.

  • Weekly Dutch classes on Wednesdays to help you improve your Dutch.

  • A discount on your gym membership through our sports program.

  • Fish Fridays, every other week.

  • A team activity every quarter.

Brave Ones is officially recognized by the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) as a sponsor.

As a recognized sponsor, we may be able to support eligible international candidates with their residence permit application, depending on the applicable immigration requirements.
