It all began with our founder, Karel. During his own international student adventures in Japan and Italy, he learned firsthand how difficult it is to find a job when you don't speak the local language. Once returned to NL, Karel noticed that international students in the Netherlands face the same barriers.
Internationals take a big step to follow their (study) dreams by moving to a new country. By doing this, they leave a lot behind, which shows bravery, courage, and drive. But once they start applying for jobs at local companies in NL, this drive is very often overlooked. A closed door, hidden behind language requirements and paperwork, is met. Making the job search feel close to impossible.
At the same time, companies are struggling with staff shortages and an increasingly competitive job market.
Brave Ones is built on the foundation of connecting companies with hard-working international students and starters. This way, more opportunities are created for these internationals, and a long-term solution for staff shortages in a competitive job market is found.
