About Brave Ones

Brave Ones is a fast-growing international staffing company helping international students, asylum seekers, residence permit holders and expat partners find work in the Netherlands. We go beyond recruitment, managing onboarding, planning and ongoing support for employees and clients. Our mission: Enable opportunities for internationals in every European city.

Your team

You'll join a young, ambitious international team in Nijmegen, working alongside our operations lead, recruiters, customer success lead and founder. We work hard, help each other and celebrate wins. No unnecessary hierarchy. Every quarter, we set ambitious targets together and hold each other accountable for delivering results.

Your role

As part of our Recruitment & Operations team, you'll play an important role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly.

Once a candidate has been hired, you'll take ownership of the process. From arranging contracts and work permits to preparing employees for their first working day, you'll make sure everything is taken care of. You'll also support our international employees throughout their employment, helping them with practical questions and making sure everything runs smoothly.

A large part of your work involves operational tasks that require accuracy, structure and attention to detail. But we're looking for someone who goes beyond simply completing tasks. Someone who takes ownership, keeps an overview and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.

What will you do?

  • Manage the onboarding process, from collecting documents and arranging contracts to preparing employees for their first working day.

  • Apply for work permits and monitor their progress.

  • Support international employees with questions about contracts, payslips and other employment-related matters.

  • Coordinate employee schedules, availability changes and sick leave notifications.

  • Monitor important deadlines, including contract extensions and work permit expiration dates.

  • Keep employee records and internal systems accurate and up to date.

  • Manage offboarding when employees leave.

  • Take ownership of daily operational tasks and make sure everything is followed up properly.

  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline our operational processes.

Your mission

Help internationals start working faster. Your first challenge? Reduce the average onboarding time from 9 to 5 days. Work alongside our operations lead to identify bottlenecks and improve the process. Less waiting, more internationals working.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who's ambitious, proactive and enjoys working with people. Someone who takes responsibility, thinks ahead and doesn't wait to be told what to do.

You're organized, detail-oriented and know how to keep things running smoothly, even when things get busy. You take ownership of your work, follow through on tasks and aren't afraid to ask questions or take initiative when something needs attention.

You also enjoy working in a young, international team, communicate easily with others and are always looking for ways to improve how things are done.

What matters to us:

  • You're proactive, independent and take ownership of your work.

  • You're social, approachable and communicate confidently.

  • You're organized, accurate and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • You're a problem-solver who takes initiative and thinks in solutions.

  • You're open to feedback, eager to learn and motivated to grow.

  • You enjoy improving processes and finding smarter ways of working.

Experience in recruitment, operations or administration is a plus, but not required. Your mindset, motivation and willingness to learn matter most.

What do you need to apply?

  • You've recently graduated (HBO/WO) or are at the beginning of your career.

  • You're available to work 40 hours per week. Weekend hours may be possible by agreement.

  • You're willing to work from our office in Nijmegen and live nearby or are open to relocating.

  • You're fluent in English. Speaking Dutch is a plus, but not required.

  • You're eligible to work in the Netherlands. Candidates with an orientation year (zoekjaar) residence permit are welcome.

What do we offer?

At Brave Ones, you'll join a young, ambitious and international team where you'll have the freedom to take ownership, contribute ideas and make a real impact.

We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. You'll start by getting to know our daily operations and gradually take on more responsibility. As you develop, you'll have the opportunity to improve processes, lead projects and potentially grow into a leadership position within our operations team.

Here's what else you can expect:

  • A gross monthly salary between €2,850 and €3,400, depending on your experience and skills.

  • Real responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact from day one.

  • Opportunities for professional development, with regular feedback and a development review after six months.

  • A young, social and international team.

  • A laptop and work phone.

  • Free weekly Dutch classes.

  • A discounted gym membership through our sports program.

  • Fish Fridays every other week and quarterly team activities.

Brave Ones is an IND-recognized sponsor. This means we may be able to support eligible international candidates with their residence permit application, including after their orientation year (zoekjaar), subject to applicable IND requirements.

Application process

If your profile catches our attention and you meet the requirements, the application process consists of three steps:

  • Round 1: A short introductory phone call.

  • Round 2: An in-person interview with the Operations Lead at our office.

  • Round 3: An in-person interview with our Founder at our office.

Ready for the challenge?

There are easier ways to start your career. But if you're willing to start with the basics, work hard and earn bigger responsibilities while helping other internationals build their future in the Netherlands, we'd love to meet you. Apply with your CV and tell us why you'd be a good fit. We review applications on a rolling basis.
