Short Summary

Looking for a well-paid student job that fits around your studies? Work around 5 night shifts per month from 23:00 to 07:00 in a High Voltage Lab in Nijmegen and earn €20.02 gross per hour, regardless of age. No technical background needed. If you're handy and enjoy working with tools, fixing things or tinkering, this could be a great fit. You're also guaranteed pay for at least 5 nights per month, even if fewer shifts are available.

Description

As a Night Shift Assistant, you'll work in the role of a test technician alongside an experienced colleague in a High Voltage Lab, where large power transformers are tested. During long-duration tests, you'll be the second person in the lab. Two people must always be present for safety reasons, so you'll stay alert and raise the alarm if something happens.  When no test is running, you'll get hands-on: helping prepare test setups and carrying out practical tasks around the lab. No technical study background is required. Being practical, handy and comfortable working with tools is more important.

You'll work around 5 nights per month from 23:00 to 07:00, mainly on Sunday and Thursday nights. Your schedule is planned one month in advance with your manager, making it easy to plan around your studies.

The work is physical and can involve heights of up to 16 metres. Training is provided. You need to be available for at least 6 months, but if you like the job, you can stay throughout your studies. Reliability is essential: if you don't show up, your colleague can't work either because two people must be present for safety reasons.
