Description

As a Reach Truck Driver, you'll work in a modern warehouse where wall and floor tiles are prepared for delivery. No experience? No problem! You'll start with 3 paid trial shifts using an electric pallet truck (EPT) to get to know the team and show what you've got!  If it's a match, the company arranges and covers the costs of your mandatory reach truck certification course in English at an external location near Waalwijk, Amsterdam or Utrecht. Once certified, you'll operate a reach truck and gain valuable experience. Your tasks include:

  • Operating a reachtruck to move, store and retrieve pallets of tiles from high warehouse racks (typically 8 metres), while remaining in the driver's seat.

  • Picking and preparing customer orders.

  • Replenishing stock and checking order accuracy.

  • Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised.

You'll mainly operate a reach truck and use modern lifting equipment, but occasionally you'll need to lift and handle heavy tiles yourself. We're looking for reliable, proactive students who aren't afraid of physical work.

Easy to combine with your studies! Work at least 2 full weekday shifts per week, preferably on the same fixed days (Monday, Tuesday or Friday). Can't make your usual days because of lectures or exams? No problem. You can work 2 other weekdays instead, as long as you complete at least 2 full shifts each week. Choose your shift: 06:00-15:00, 07:00-16:00 or 08:00-17:00. No evenings or weekends.

Your regular availability helps the team plan your shifts. Holidays are fine when arranged in advance. We're looking for students who can commit to at least 1 year, preferably longer (2-4 years).

About the client

Our client is an established Dutch supplier of wall and floor tiles, with a modern distribution centre in Bemmel, serving customers throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.

The warehouse is easy to reach from Arnhem or Nijmegen: just 20 minutes by car or 25-30 minutes by e-bike. Prefer public transport? Take the bus (25-30 minutes), followed by a 5-minute bike ride. Brave Ones can help arrange an (e-)bike through Swapfiets.

You'll join a friendly, informal warehouse team of around 40 people, including approximately 5 international students. Experienced colleagues will help you get started, and you'll have the opportunity to become a valued team member throughout your studies.

Requirements

  • You can commit to at least 1 year, preferably longer.

  • You're reliable, physically fit, hardworking and proactive. You're comfortable lifting heavy tiles when needed.
