Recruiter [part-time]

Wanted: a go-getter for a real scale-up challenge

We are building something that matters, and we are looking for someone who is genuinely motivated to be part of it.

This is not a standard student job where you simply complete a list of tasks. You will receive real responsibility for your own clients, vacancies and candidates. In return, you will gain valuable experience in recruitment, client communication, and working in a fast-growing international company.

Are you proactive, ambitious and ready to take ownership? Then keep reading.

About Brave Ones

Brave Ones is an international scale-up helping internationals to find jobs in the Netherlands. We go beyond traditional recruitment: we want internationals to feel at home. Clients value us as specialists in recruiting and retaining highly educated, reliable international talent that helps grow their businesses. As we scale, we are looking for a new brave one who shares our mission: Enable opportunities for every international in every European student city.

Your team

You join a young, energetic, and ambitious team with colleagues from Indonesia, Brazil, Poland, Turkey and the Netherlands. You will work closely with our recruiter, Customer Success Manager, and operations team. Several international students already work at Brave Ones, so you will not be the only one combining study, work and Dutch life.

What you will be doing

You will manage the recruitment process for vacancies in your own region, from contacting candidates to presenting the best candidates to the client. You own your own region: your own portfolio of clients and vacancies. Because it's your portfolio, you build real knowledge of “your” vacancies and candidates, which means better matches, more ownership, and more enjoyable work.

You work 3 days per week from our office in Nijmegen, spread across the week (not clustered) so follow-up towards candidates never stalls. Which 3 days, and your exact hours, you largely decide yourself in consultation.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing your own clients and open vacancies

  • Contacting and screening new candidates

  • Conducting online interviews

  • Assessing candidates' motivation, availability and suitability

  • Presenting suitable candidates to clients

  • Following up with candidates and clients

  • Scheduling interview between candidates and clients

  • Keeping candidate and vacancy information up to date in our recruitment system

  • Building a strong candidate pool within your region

  • Working together with recruitment marketing to attract candidates

  • Identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements

Focus areas

  • Recruitment: Call, interview and propose candidates quickly; collaborate with AI recruiter Bo.

  • Ownership of your portfolio: Build and maintain a reusable candidate pool for your region; keep your vacancies and candidate pipeline up to date.

  • Collaboration: When you have spare capacity, pick up first-contact calls for your colleague's region.

Your mission

Help international students in the Netherlands find a job quickly and smoothly by picking up candidates fast, assessing fit thoroughly, and proposing them to clients with confidence. With structured follow-up, a proactive mindset and real ownership of your region, you make recruitment faster, more reliable and more personal for our clients.

What you need to excel

  • Proactivity: You take initiative, chase missing info and close open tasks.

  • Ownership mentality: You like owning a portfolio end-to-end and being accountable for its results.

  • Drive and execution power: You like scale-up energy, work hard, play hard, learn fast.

  • Strong communication skills: Fluent in English, confident on phone and email with students and partners.

  • Motivation to learn Dutch (strong plus).

  • Eye for detail: You like checklists and accurate administration, you know one missing document matters.

  • People oriented: You enjoy supporting students and explaining processes.

  • Going the extra mile: You want to exceed expectations of internationals, partners and teammates.

What you need to apply

  • Availability: Start mid-August 2026. You work 3 days per week, spread across the week, with days and hours largely flexible in consultation. Commitment of at least 1.5 years.

  • Location: You live in Nijmegen.

  • Skills: Tech savvy is a plus as you work closely with AI recruiter Bo and help improve the recruitment processes. Experience in recruitment or customer service is a plus, not required.

  • Mindset: Driven, passionate, and eager to learn. Affinity with entrepreneurship and a fast-paced scale-up environment.

What we offer

  • Growth opportunities in a company with European expansion plans.

  • Real ownership and room for your ideas in a flat organization.
