Job description

As a Part-time Cart Construction Employee, you’ll work in the flower and plant logistics department and make sure orders are prepared correctly for transport. Your main tasks include:

  • Packing flowers and plants into crates, boxes, and transport units.

  • Working with a handheld scanner to register items, check order accuracy, and track products.

  • Building and sealing transport carts, making sure everything is stable, secure, and ready for shipment.

  • Keeping your workstation clean and organised so the process runs smoothly.

The work is structured, easy to learn, and perfect to combine with your studies. You’ll collaborate with Dutch colleagues and other international students in a supportive and friendly team environment.

Job requirements

  • Start as soon as possible.

  • Available for at least 6 months, longer is even better.

  • Work 16-24 hours per week, the more, the better.

  • Shift times are from 08:00 - 16:00 while getting worked in.

  • When you are worked in the shift times are 09:00 - 17:00

  • Able to work every Monday and either the Wednesday or Friday each the week.

  • You are willing to do a hands on job.

  • Preferably above the height of 1.65m due to the height of the carts

  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated.

  • Living in Leiden.

Hours & salary

Shift times are from 08:00 - 16:00 when getting worked in 
When you are worked in the shift times are 09:00 - 17:00

Hourly wage: 
- 20 or older: €14.46
- 19: €13.73
- 18: €12.29

- Sundays and public Holiday days 200%

Allowances: 

  • €0.23/km travel reimbursement (maximum 30 km one-way). 

  • We’ll help you arrange a Swapfiets (e-)bike for an easy commute.

You will go through three rounds in the application process:
