Our client is a large technology hardware distributor based in Nieuwegein. They work exclusively with leading European brands and supply resellers, office supply retailers, purchasing organizations, and both retail and online companies specializing in IT and office products. The location is easily accessible: from Utrecht Central Station, it’s about 36 minutes by bus or 30 minutes by e-bike. We’ll help you arrange a Swapfiets (e-)bike for an easy commute.

Job description

Your main responsibilities will be picking, monitoring, and preparing orders to be shipped to clients across Europe. The products are not very heavy, but accuracy is key. You will work with a handheld scanner and an electric pallet truck (EPT), so a strong sense of responsibility and independence is important. Since you will be walking through the warehouse throughout the day, the work is active and physical. The atmosphere in the warehouse is open and informal, and you’ll be working together with both international and Dutch colleagues. We are looking for motivated students or recent graduates who can work full-time (32-40 hours per week) for at least four months, preferably longer. This is an ideal opportunity for students in a gap year or orientation year who want to gain valuable work experience or finance their search year.

Job requirements

  • You are available as soon as possible.
  • You are reliable, accurate and responsible.
  • No experience in logistics is required, but you need to be willing to learn.
  • You are living in or around Utrecht / Nieuwegein.
  • Available for at least 4 months, preferably longer.
  • Available to work 32-40 hours per week.
  • Living in or around Utrecht / Nieuwegein.

Hours & salary

  • The standard working hours for 40 hours per week are Monday to Friday from 14:00-23:00.
  • The standard working hours for 32 hours per week are Monday to Friday from 16:00-23:00.
  • Your salary is €14.40 regardless of age.
  • You will receive a 120% irregular allowance for hours worked before 07:00 or after 18:00.
  • You will also receive €0.23 per km travel cost reimbursement.
  • We’ll help you arrange a Swapfiets (e-)bike for an easy commute.

Additional information

You will go through three rounds in the application process: 

- Round 1: Review of your availability and motivation.
- Round 2: Online interview with Brave Ones.
- Round 3: Three (paid) try-out shifts.
