Your team
You join a young, energetic, and ambitious team with colleagues from Canada, Indonesia, Brazil, Poland and the Netherlands. You will work closely with two other Recruiting & Ops Associates and our Customer Success Manager. Several international students already work at Brave Ones, so you will not be the only one combining study, work and Dutch life.
What you will be doing
You guide international students from first contact with Brave Ones to their first working day. You make sure they are contacted quickly, informed clearly and smoothly onboarded into our clients' jobs. You will work from our office 16 hours per week (two 8-hour days), including Sunday and one weekday. Working hours are 08:00-17:00.
Focus areas
- Recruitment: Call, interview and propose candidates quickly; collaborate with AI recruiter Bo.
- Administration: Collect documents, apply for work permits, keep systems up to date, monitor permits and contract extensions.
- Onboarding: Align start dates, hold onboarding calls so students feel prepared.
- Daily Operations: Answer questions via phone and email, register sickness, update details, availability, hours and placements of current working students.
- Offboarding: Lead offboarding after contracts ends and ensure everything is handled properly.
Your mission
Help international students in the Netherlands find a job quickly and smoothly by picking up candidates fast, guiding them clearly, ensuring onboarding is complete and correct. With structured follow-up and a proactive mindset, you make recruitment faster, more reliable and more personal for our clients.
Your responsibilities
- Contact new candidates on time and schedule screening calls.
- Conduct short interviews and assess fit.
- Propose candidates to clients and ensure interviews are planned quickly.
- Coordinate onboarding (documents, work permits, contracts, start dates).
- Answer student questions and process sickness and availability changes.
- Monitor work permits and trigger extensions on time.
- Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
- Update recruitment marketing about vacancies and placements.
What you need to excel
- Proactivity: You take initiative, chase missing info and close open tasks.
- Drive and execution power: You like scale-up energy, work hard, play hard, learn fast.
- Strong communication skills: Fluent in English, confident on phone and email with students and partners.
- Motivation to learn Dutch (strong plus).
- Eye for detail: You like checklists and accurate administration, you know one missing document matters.
- People oriented: You enjoy supporting students and explaining processes.
- Going the extra mile: You want to exceed expectations of internationals, partners and teammates.
What you need to apply
- Availability: Start second week of May 2026. 16 hours per week on-site (Sunday plus one weekday). Commitment of at least 1.5 years. 40 hours per week available during the last 3 weeks of August for IntroWeeks in different cities.
- Location: You live in Nijmegen.
- Skills: Tech savvy is a plus as you work closely with AI recruiter Bo and help improve the recruitment processes. Experience in recruitment or customer service is a plus, not required.
- Mindset: Driven, passionate, and eager to learn. Affinity with entrepreneurship and a fast-paced scale-up environment.
