Job description

As a warehouse employee in Utrecht, you’ll work in a cross-docking department, where goods are quickly sorted and sent out without long-term storage. You’ll be responsible for collecting and preparing orders using voice-picking technology, rotating between tasks like order picking and organizing. You'll ensure orders are completed accurately and on time, while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse. This role involves working in a cold environment (from +7°C to -25°C), with warm clothes provided. Night shift allowances and long-term opportunities are available.

Job requirements

  • You are proactive, reliable, and accurate.
  • Available for at least 6 months preferably longer, and can work 16-24 hours per week.
  • Availability to work at least 2/3 night shifts per week, Sunday through Friday.
  • Willingness to perform physical work, including lifting and moving heavy goods.
  • Comfortable working in cold environments, from +7°C to -25°C (warm clothes provided).
  • You are flexible regarding working hours. 
  • You are available as soon as possible.
  • Comfortable being a night owl and working night shifts.
  • You are living in Utrecht.
  • Preferably available during the months July & August. 
  • Maximum of 3 weeks of holiday during summer.
  • no long holidays during the coming period.
  • After 2 and 4 weeks check to see if it is a go or no go.

Hours & salary

Night shift working hours: 22:00 to approximately 05:15–06:00. You are expected to work at least 2 night shifts per week, Sunday through Friday. The schedule is made at least 2 weeks in advance.

Your salary:

21 or 21+: €14.23 per hour
20:            €13.13 per hour
19:            €11.75  per hour
18:            €10.36 per hour

Allowances:

You receive an additional allowance of €1.26 per hour for working in environments between 0°C and -18°C, and €0.55 per hour for working in environments between 0°C and +7°C.

150% allowance if you work between 00:00-04:00
125% allowance if you work between 04:00-06:00
125%-150% allowance (depending on the day you work) if you work between 19:00-22:00
150% allowance if you work between 22:00 to 24:00
200% allowance if you work on Sunday (depending on the times)
150-200% allowance if you work on Saturdays (depending on the times)

Important: The allowance is added to your base hourly wage. For example, if your base wage is €10 per hour, and you receive a 150% allowance, your new hourly rate will be €15 per hour.
