By bus

The Netherlands has great connections to big cities across Europe by flixbus or BlablaCar. You can not only travel within the Netherlands, but also to countries all over Europe.

Here is a list of cities with direct connections from cities like Amsterdam, Nijmegen and Rotterdam:

  • Belgium: Brussels, Antwerp, Gent
  • France: Paris, Lille
  • Germany: Berlin (one direct connection a day), Duisburg, Mönchengladbach, Essen, Dortmund, Osnabrück

Cycle from Nijmegen to Kleve

Go on an adventure by bike and cycle from Nijmegen to Germany. The 30 km route is perfect for a day trip as one way takes you about one and a half hours. You will mostly cycle next to the railway, which sadly is not in use anymore and there are no trains from Nijmegen to Kleve.

If you want to travel throughout Germany for a day with a group of up to 5 people the Quer-Durchs-Land-Ticket might be a good choice. For a group of 5 it then costs 14,40€ per person to  use regional trains throughout Germany.
